Employee Benefit Trust (EBT)

EBT's are designed to provide employees and directors with specific kinds of benefits such as loans, shares in their employing company, pensions and other retirement benefits, accident benefits or healthcare benefits.

These trusts are known to be used in the contractor and freelance market. EBT providers pay the contractors tax-free loans instead of salaries with the aim of minimising or avoiding income tax and employers’ National Insurance Contributions. HMRC consider these arrangements to be tax avoidance and as such we believe these schemes should be avoided.

We do not provide Employment Benefit Trusts nor do we refer clients to EBT providers. For a list of our services please click here.
